It said that around a monument you can organize a district, a city, a territory, even a wide one. Indeed, the whole region "Emilia Romagna" got organized and took form around the big Roman Consular Road from wich took after the name and that has been an important supporting framework of the region (Emilio Lepido, 187 B.C.). The Via Aemilia and the Po river are the soul of this region and they hold its history inside them. They are two big rivers or two big roads (Pascoli, the poet...), two constituent parts of the history of the stubborn people living there, always figthing for their land, work, well-being and freedom.
The man from Emilia Romagna reclamated the land from the water avd it preserved it from the large estate property (latifundium).
